Sarto at the AC Invitational Show

On the last weekend of August, we had the pleasure of flying to Sausalito to visit Above Category, one of the finest bicycle stores in the world and a valued Sarto partner in California. With a carefully curated range of brands (or builders), their store is a testament to quality and a lifelong love of the bicycle. 

The reason for our visit was to attend Above Category’s ‘AC Invitational’ show, where we had the opportunity to share our art, innovations, and dedication to the development of high-performance custom carbon fibre bicycles. We took with us a special, unreleased variant of the Raso (coming soon), our new Black Marble finish in blue and green ink, and a TC - tri-composite - Raso, a model that has proven exceptionally popular for Above Category.

Saturday was sun-drenched. The energy between the attendees was amazingly positive, fun, and collaborative, and once 11 o’clock rolled around and the visitors started to arrive, the good vibes were felt by all. What was on the surface a chance to see some amazing bikes had become something else entirely: an open and carefree experience where everyone felt part of a larger cycling community.

The event also reminded us of the power of talking to our community in person. From old friends to new ones, those who had not heard of Sarto to those with more than one model in their garage, our most memorable moments were spent engaging with passionate cyclists about their lifestyle, bikes, rides and Sarto’s place in their cycling world.
